At Betbeze Billiards we emphasize our stringent 14-point evaluation of each and every table. We feel that there are 14 points that separate us from most other tables out there on the market.


Oversized Bodies:

All Betbeze Billiard tables have over-sized body construction while occupying the same space as other manufacturers' tables. The wider, longer body makes for a wider, longer leg stance, which increases stability and provides a larger surface area for the slate to sit on. Betbeze tables offer you more furniture for the money.


Carved Legs:

Every Betbeze leg is hand carved. We also take extra care to make sure that all of our legs are thicker, heavier, and more robust support for our thicker, larger tables. Every leg is unique and hand carved by our skilled artisans to create a one-of-a kind piece of furniture out of every table.









Bracketing System:

Betbeze Billiard tables utilize our exclusive Fixed Insert Routered Mounting System (FIRM) We have routered the cabinet so that all brackets that hold the body together are being held in place by the wood itself and not relying just on hardware. Our FIRM system is the most effective in the industry. Our system alleviates movement caused by the loosening of hardware because the brackets cannot shift. Our Brackets are not simply screwed to a flat surface where movement and shifting can occur often. Minimizing movement increases the life of your table.


Bolted Body Construction + Triple Leg Bolt:

Betbeze bodies and legs are 100% bolted together. We feel that bolted cabinets and legs are many times stronger than wood screws and our tables can be assembled and disassembled without any deterioration of the wood. We call this our triple leg bolting system. Most movement in tables occurs between the body and legs where there is normally only one bolt. Betbeze billiard tables use three leg bolts and have virtually eliminated movement between the legs and the body.





Minimize the movement Maximize the Life:

Minimizing the movement and the ability for your pool table to shift is essential to consistent play. Every Betbeze billiard table has either 40mm(1.6") or 50mm(2") thick body construction as a standard. Thicker is better. Many other tables have only 19mm(3/4") to 32mm(1 1/4") construction. Thicker cabinets minimize overall movement. Movement causes long-term problems: screws loosen causing hardware to shift and the table to go out of level, making play unreliable and leading to deterioration of the wood itself.



Thick, Solid, Hardwood:

Betbeze tables are constructed only of thick solid hardwood coming mostly from North America. Non-hardwood tables move easier than solid hardwood ones. As a result overall deterioration can happen very rapidly. Betbeze Billiards is dedicated to building furniture quality tables that last, using old world construction techniques that have proven to stand the test of time. Quality assurance for your family and many generations to come.



Unmatched Support:

Minimizing movement at the joints of your pool table is important. Every Betbeze table contains a 50mm X 150 (2" X 6") center slate beam that runs the length of the table. This is a solid beam that is notched with the two cross beams to provide extra support for the slate as well as to keep the cabinet square. Many tables do not have center beams and those that do often use 50mm X 100 (2" X 4") soft woods. In many cases the center slate and cross slate beams are not solid, but rather cut and then rejoined using hardware. This again allows movement at the joints, and is not nearly as strong and greatly decreases their effectiveness.



Hardware Beyond Compare:

We have designed what we feel is the best table design in the industry, to accomplish this we have oversized all of our hardware and bracketing.
1. Our design emphasizes holding the body and legs together tighter than any other table we use a single 3.5mm (1/8") power coated steel corner bracket. This 3-dimensional design is much stronger because it limits the movement compared to other tables' multiple bracket systems.
2. Dome tooth washers are standard on all bolted connections. This cup-shaped washer provides strong gripping power and compression. Commonly used flat washers simply bend when tightened and have no capacity to hold pieces tight. Dome tooth washers have approximately two full thread turns of reverse pressure in which to hold things tight.
3. All legs and rail bolts are 12mm(1/2"). Industry average is 9.5mm(3/8"). A 9.5mm bolt can tighten to 41N.m(30ft/1b) of torque. A 12mm bolt can be tightened to 102N.m(75ft/1b). That is two and a half times tighter!



True Response:

When designing our rails we look at consistency, longevity, response, and play quality of a cushion. To achieve these attributes we use nothing but pure gum rubber and have cloth facings on top and back. Our rail fronts are precision machine routered to allow the cushion to bond tightly to the rail ensuring that it will not separate and come loose. All rails are kiln dried North American solid hardwood. Betbeze billiard tables also feature 152mm(6") wide rails instead of 127mm(5"). Wider rails are better for setting up your shot because you have a larger surface for your hand. They're also more attractive and give you more furniture for your money. To finish our rails we use Mother of Pearl diamond sights.



Ultimate Rail Anchoring System:

The tighter you can hold a rail to the slate, the quicker and more accurate the response of the ball. The Betbeze rail anchoring system emphasizes accurate response. Our floating nut block is incomparable in strength to the T nuts and floating nut plates used on other tables. It has the thickness of the sleeve portion of a T nut and two times the surface area of a nut plate (this means our nut block has at least 7 times the tensile strength of either the T nut or nut plate) each rail section is secured to the slate at three points. The 12mm(1/2") bolt is threaded through the dome tooth washer and the slate and then tightened into the nut block (anchored within the rail). Our specially designed hardware, which exceeds industry standards allows us to mount our rails more tightly to the slate than any other table in the industry.



Thicker Slate is Better:

Balls roll further, faster and quieter. All Betbeze slate is wood backed to prevent vibration through the body and to ensure extremely quiet play. Standard slate thickness on all Betbeze tables is 30mm (1 1/4") which is ¼ inch thicker than what you will see in most competitors tables. This is in line with our Thicker is Better concept as we feel that the extra weight helps as heavier tables are not as susceptible to coming out of line. (Remember: minimize the movement, maximize the life)



Pockets that Match:

All Betbeze pockets come standard as leather covered cast iron.
All leather is stained and etched to match the table finish at no extra charge.






Hand Rubbed Finish:

Taking the time to rub in stain makes for better absorption into the wood. Some manufacturers simply make a few passes with a stain gun. The finish on every Betbeze table is truly traditional craftsmanship. Our finish utilizes time-honored traditional techniques to provide a look that is both beautiful and enduring. This painstaking process involves hand-rubbing the stain onto the entire table followed with multiple finish and several lacquer coats. Between each coat the table is lightly hand-sanded, ensuring a perfectly smooth final finish that is virtually flawless. Betbeze products use only oil-based stains, which lasts longer than a water based stain and holds up better to wear and tear. (Like leaving wet glasses on your wood). Many companies prefer water based finishes as it dries faster and speeds production. At Betbeze we realize that you cannot rush perfection and we always wait the time necessary to produce the best finish possible.
